New Trademark Hints At Possible Hyundai Ioniq T10 EV
According to a recent trademark filing, Hyundai may have an all-new EV pickup truck in the works. Based on the filing, the electric pickup truck is a new crossover called the Hyundai Ioniq T10. Hyundai has not released any information about the new truck, but given the automaker’s focus on EVs, a new EV is a likely addition to the lineup. Hyundai recently unveiled the Ioniq 5N, a high-performance version of the Ioniq 5. The South Korean automaker has also been working on new technology like its Active Air Skirt system to improve its EVs. Given how much attention EVs have received, an EV truck wouldn’t be unexpected. For now, we’ll take a closer look at the trademarking filing and see what consumers can expect.
New Potential EV Truck Called Hyundai T10 Revealed
A new trademark filing indicates that Hyundai may be working on an all-new electric pickup truck called the Hyundai T10. Designed as a crossover, the new EV truck may be the latest edition to Hyundai’s EV lineup. So far, the South Korean automaker has not officially commented on the new potential EV truck. Based on Hyundai’s electrification efforts, however, the T10 will likely arrive as a brand-new model. Within the filing, the listing description falls under automobiles, electric cars, trucks, and SUVs. Hyundai’s most recent Ioniq 5N demonstrates the automaker’s resolve to offer highly capable and versatile EVs. The automaker’s new Active Air Skirt system EV technology is also representative of Hyundai’s vision. With so many automakers focused on EVs, a new electric pickup truck is not too surprising.
Hyundai recently unveiled a new EV platform called the IMA platform. The automaker’s CEO Jaehoon Chang commented on the IMA platform stating that it would “encompass nearly all vehicle classes ranging from small and large SUVs to pickup trucks.” Based on Chang’s comments, the Hyundai Ioniq T10 could very well be the next EV to join the automaker’s lineup. Within the filings was another request for a trademark for the Ioniq T7. This may also be a new EV truck, but we’ll have to wait for confirmation. Hyundai is aiming to be at the forefront as EV infrastructure and charging networks continue to be built up globally. It’s clear the automaker is devoted to offering a highly capable and versatile EV lineup so for now, we’ll be staying tuned.
