In its recent evaluation, the nonprofit organization awarded the all-electric sedan a score of 83 out of 100. The latest study reviewed nearly 50 EVs. The Ioniq 6 ranked as the third-best EV, following the Kia EV9 and BMW IX. Despite not receiving first, this top-three ranking highlights the vehicle’s strong performance and versatility.

The Hyundai Ioniq 6 is known for its fast charging capabilities, making it one of the most efficient EVs in this area. With a range of up to 361 miles, the Ioniq 6 ensures that drivers can reach their destinations without range anxiety. Hyundai’s latest e-platform promises even quicker charging times in future models. In terms of performance, the Ioniq 6 is available in two configurations: a single-motor setup with rear-wheel drive or a dual-motor version with all-wheel drive. The single-motor delivers 149 horsepower while the dual-motor delivers 320 horsepower. Equipped with the dual-motor, the Ioniq 6 is capable of reaching 0 to 60 in just 4.3 seconds. This on top of a smooth and engaging driving experience makes the Ioniq 6 a versatile all-electric sedan.

Inside the Ioniq 6, owners will find a spacious and minimalist cabin designed for comfort. The cabin is quiet thanks to sound-deadening materials and offers seating for up to five passengers. A 24-inch dual display serves as both the digital gauge cluster and infotainment system. This display provides drivers with a range of driver assist and safety features. This includes a heads-up display as well as forward collision alerts, blind spot monitoring, lane-keeping assist, and smart cruise control. At a starting MSRP of $42,450 (plus destination fee), the Hyundai Ioniq 6 stands out as one of the best-rated EVs according to Consumer Reports.
