Hyundai Reveals NPX1 Ioniq 5N Concept
Hyundai has introduced aftermarket parts for the upcoming 2025 Ioniq 5N. The all-electric crossover SUV is set to be the automaker’s most powerful model yet. Thanks to these enhancements, the Ioniq 5N will see increased performance and capability. Hyundai revealed a concept variant called the NPX1 at the Tokyo Auto Salon show in Japan. The concept Ioniq 5N showcased these aftermarket parts designed to further elevate the Ioniq 5N’s performance. In focusing on electrification, Hyundai has produced the all-electric Ioniq 5N which stands as the pinnacle of its commitment. Now the South Korean automaker is taking it a step further. We’ll dive into the NPX1 concept SUV and explore the modifications and improvements consumers can expect.
New Ioniq 5N Concept Revealed
Recently unveiled at the Tokyo Auto Salon in Japan, the NPX1 (N Performance eXperimental 1) concept SUV serves as an upgraded version of the Ioniq 5N. While the all-electric SUV initially debuted as Hyundai’s most powerful model, the automaker is pushing the boundaries by introducing the NPX1 concept with upgrades intended as aftermarket parts. Focused on enhancing performance and capability, these upgrades encompass both exterior and interior modifications.
Some of the highlighted aftermarket parts featured on the NPX1 include a large front splitter with tall endplates, deep side skirts with rear air intakes, and a substantial rear diffuser. The SUV’s wheels showcase a hybrid construction of alloy spokes and carbon fiber rims. Internally, the Ioniq 5N concept incorporates more aggressive brake pads and lowering springs. There is currently no release date for these parts however Hyundai has stated that they will be available later in 2024.
The 2025 Ioniq 5N stands out as a highly capable electric SUV boasting 641 horsepower and 568 lb-ft of torque. With a 0 to 60 mph time of just 3.4 seconds, the Ioniq 5N offers impressive performance. Notable features include a battery preconditioning function for optimal performance. There’s also an innovative e-shift transmission that simulates an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission for increased driver feedback. Hyundai’s latest upgrades further enhance the 2025 Ioniq 5N’s performance and capabilities. Although some aftermarket parts are still in development, we’ll be staying tuned for additional information from Hyundai.
